Peters Township High School Annual Scholarships
Each year our Club awards two scholarships to PTHS graduating seniors. The first place awardee receives $3,000 and second place is $2,500. The scholarships are given to the awardees AFTER successful completion of their freshman year of college. After completing that year the awardess and their parents attend a Club meeting to tell us about their experiences and receive their scholarship award.
The winners for the 2011 year are – Elizabeth Fitzgerald, $3,000 and Christine Dee, $2,500. They will be awarded these scholarships next year after their successful completion of their freshman year. The winners from 2010 were Chelsea Benson, $3,000 and Katie Ellis, $2,500.
The scholarship selection process is open to all Peters Township High School seniors. The committee bases its selection on a combination of academic achievement, community service and financial need. The applications are submitted through the high school Guidance office. The applications are due by the end of April and the interviews are held during the middle of May.
