Album Name: Charity Gala Return to Albums
Album Date: Nov 14, 2009
Description: This was the first year of taking our major fund raiser to a new level to bring in significantly more funds for our philanthropic efforts. We actually filled up Rolling Hills Country Club with around 300 people and EVERYONE had a GREAT time!

The poster greeting our guests as they entered the club. With banners and a video provided by District 7330 we jazzed up the display, which included a water sand filter and a shelter box. Many of our guests checked out this display during the evening. One of the first things you saw upon entering the ballroom were tables in the center with Silent and Chinese auction items. Jim Mortimer, past president and past chair of this event, stands beside a Chinese auction table. Here are a few of the many outstanding items that were part of the Silent auction. Laura Zuloaga (center), wife of incoming President, Tony, checks out some of the Chinese auction items, along with some of our guests.
Thanks to the four wine distributors who brought an outstanding assortment of wines for our guests to taste - and buy! Our performance artist, George Williams, works his magic on a painting of Sydney Crosby of the Pittsburgh Penguins. Gary Rosensteel trying (unsuccessfully) to be Vanna White holds up the Hines Ward painting that Geoge just finished, while Tripp Kline of the Washington Rotary (and a professional auctioneer) conducts the auction. While our hundreds of guests were having a GREAT time Dick Mason and Jamison Hardy 'manned the fort' and made sure everyone was able to check out as quickly as possible! Tony Zuloaga took a turn manning the golf ball toss area on the deck.
Jim Audas and a country club worker tried to avoid being hit by flying golf balls, as they determined who the winners were every half hour. As the evening progressed Gary Rosensteel, and his wife Anita, still managed to smile after months of work and being at the Club since 9 am, believing the Gala was bound for a very successful conclusion!
