8th Annual Charity Gala

Saturday, Nov. 6th

Valleybrook Country Club

THE event of the year for the McMurray Rotary and quickly becoming THE event of the year for Peters Township!  We are moving to Valley Brook Country Club this year in orde to provide a fantastic sit down dinner for our guests in addition to accomodating all the aspects of our fun evening.  We are 'kicking it up a notch' this year by increaisng the value of items in ALL the auctions, and adding more prizes and fun to everyone's favorite, the Golf Ball Toss.

We must warn you though, that due to the sit down dinner, there is an absolute limit to the number of guests who can participate, so get your tickets early!  The cost is $40/person which covers dinner, and wine tastings. Bring your friends, have an evening of great fun and help the McMurray Rotary provide philanthropic support to dozens of local, regional and intenational charitable causes!

Highlights from Last Year's Gala

Check out some photos from last year's event.  We took over the entire main floor of Rolling Hills country club for our gala event that included:

  • Tastings and purchase of premium wines from the US and around the world
  • Watching George Williams create paintings to music and then bidding on them  George is now seen on several KDKA TV commericals - see him at work here!
  • Live auctions of high-end merchandise conducted by a professional auctioneer, Some examples of the items bid on:
    • Guitar signed by all the members of the Rolling Stones
    • Luxury Topaz earrings from Louis Anthony jewelers
    • Various vacation trips
    • Framed album signed by Bruce Springsteen and the E Street band members
  • Silent auctions of all kinds of luxury, sports, travel, art work, etc. items
  • Chinese auctions of a potpourri of items from gift baskets to you-name-it!
  • Golf ball toss from the deck to the 18th hole - the winner didn't get the $25,000 Grand Prize, but better luck next year!
  • DJ keeping the evening rolling and providing music to dance to as the evening progresses
  • A scrumptious buffet meal including carving stations

Almost 300 people attended the 2009 Gala!
