Rotary Youth Exchange
Rotary International offers opportunities through the RYE (Rotary Youth Exchange) Program for students to spend up to a year living with host families and attending school in a different country.
RYE has been in existence for more than 75 years. More than 80 countries and some 8,000 students each year participate in the program, which is administered at the regional level by Rotary districts and at the local level by Rotary clubs.
This 2011 - 2012 academic year, the McMurray Rotary Club is sponsoring Peters Township High School student Melissa Bittner, who is also an officer in the school's new Interact Club. She will be staying in Pirkkala, Finland, and her school is Pirkkalan Yhteislukio.
